WatchGuard IPS Signature Update caused Kernel Crash

The Tech Geeks |

IPS Signature Update caused Kernel Crash We have received some reports that appliances with IPS enabled with the newest signature set, v4.584, may experience kernel crashes and reboot without notice. When this occurs, a kernel crash appears in the fault report. While we continue to debug this issue, we are rolling back to signature set v4.578. We will update this article as soon as the rollback is complete. Until a working signature set is available, we recommend that you disable IPS. Make sure that your IPS service is configured to automatically update signatures so that any impacted appliance will automatically update to signature set v4.578 as soon as the rollback is complete.
