The TP-Link TL-SG1016 16-Port Gigabit Rackmount Switch (SKU: DS1016G) is a high-performance, low-cost and easy-to-use unmanaged Gigabit switch designed to upgrade an older network to 1000Mbps speeds. With 16 Gigabit RJ45 ports in a standard 19-inch rack-mountable steel case, it is a straightforward way to expand your wired network capacity while protecting your existing investment.
All 16 ports support auto MDI/MDIX, so there is no need to worry about cable types. Simply plug in and go: no configuration is required. Auto-negotiation on every port senses the link speed of each connected device (10, 100 or 1000Mbps) and adjusts for compatibility and optimal performance.
The switch uses a non-blocking switching architecture that forwards and filters packets at full wire-speed for maximum throughput. Support for 10KB jumbo frames significantly improves large file transfers, while IEEE 802.3x flow control (full duplex) and backpressure (half duplex) help alleviate congestion and keep the switch running reliably.
Built with TP-Link green technology, the TL-SG1016 is an energy-efficient, fanless design that automatically adjusts power consumption according to link status. It complies with RoHS, and 80% of its packaging material can be recycled.
