The WatchGuard WG9042 Redundant Power Supply is a replacement hot-swappable power supply for the WatchGuard Firebox M4850, M5850 and M6850 High Rackmount appliances. Each of these Firebox models uses two redundant, hot-swappable power supplies, so the WG9042 lets you restore full power redundancy quickly if a unit fails, without taking your network security appliance offline.
If a power supply fails or is disconnected, the LED indicator on that unit turns red and an audible alarm sounds. The front power button on the Firebox also flashes green to flag the problem. Because the appliance continues to run from the remaining power supply, you can swap the failed unit while the Firebox stays powered on.
