Featuring advanced BiDi (bidirectional) technology, the UACC-OM-SM-10G-S uses a single fiber strand to transmit and receive data simultaneously, reducing fiber infrastructure requirements and installation costs. The module utilises a simplex LC UPC connector and supports cable distances up to 10 km (6.2 miles), making it ideal for campus networks, inter-building connections, and long-distance uplinks.

The transceiver operates at dual wavelengths – transmitting at 1270 nm or 1330 nm and receiving at 1330 nm or 1270 nm depending on the module (blue or red latch) – ensuring efficient bidirectional communication.
