We are just not quite the same as many of the other online stores. I know it is easy to say that, but we just aren't.
The Tech Geeks, under their parent company Twelve Times (Worldwide) Pty Ltd trade in Australia, New Zealand and the United Kingdom.
This allows us to purchase stock from suppliers from locations where they have it available. We are then able to import those products directly, along with providing localised Warranty and Replacement as required.
We only list items that we know have been, or are about to be released to us and since we purchase only in small batches these are often flown in on short time frames.
We list on each product our expected shipments and ones that we have already sent out to customers. Please use these dates as a guideline as we always suggest 14-21 days just to allow for air freight or customs hold ups.

The UniFi Protect AI Port is a cutting-edge accessory enabling the migration of legacy or specialty third party cameras empowering them with Protect’s advanced AI capabilities. Transform your surveillance system with smarter, more effective monitoring.
How many cameras is the AI Port compatible with?
Each AI Port currently supports one ONVIF or UniFi Protect G3/G4/G5 camera to ensure optimal AI processing performance. Future Protect updates will expand the capacity to support multiple cameras.
Does a camera have to be directly connected to the AI Port?
No, the AI Port works seamlessly with any compatible camera on the same network, providing flexible installation options. Cameras directly connected to the AI Port still need to be paired with the AI port in Protect.
How much power can the AI Port supply to a directly connected camera?
- When powered via PoE+: Up to 12.95W.
- When powered via PoE++: Up to 25.5W.
For cameras requiring higher power, use a separate PoE switch or injector.
What types of detections and recognitions are supported by the AI Port?
The AI Port enhances all compatible cameras with:
- Detections: Motion, people, vehicles, animals, speech.
- Classifications: Vehicle color, vehicle type.
Recognition: Face recognition, license plate recognition.
Does the AI Port support Protect G4/G5 PTZ cameras?
Yes, the AI Port enables Face and License Plate Recognition for G4/G5 PTZ cameras while maintaining their existing pan, tilt, and zoom functionalities. However, it does not enhance PTZ control or tracking.
Does the AI Port support AI series cameras?
No, the AI Port is not compatible with Protect AI series camers.
How does the AI Port select streams from third-party cameras?
The AI Port automatically detects the highest and lowest resolution streams on the camera and assigns them to the HQ and LQ streams in Protect. If the streams are adjusted on the camera, the device must be removed and re-adopted in Protect to see the changes.
Does the AI Port support PTZ controls on third-party cameras?
Yes, the AI Port supports PTZ controls on ONVIF third-party cameras.
What is the maximum resolution stream and FPS the AI Port can support?
The AI Port supports resolutions up to 4K (3840 x 2160) and 30 FPS. For higher performance cameras, reduce the resolution and FPS before connecting to the AI Port.
Does the AI Port support multisensor cameras or cameras with abnormal aspect ratios?
The AI Port is optimized for single-stream cameras that have aspect ratios within 3840 x 2160. Multisensor cameras with very wide aspect ratios are not compatible.
Does the AI Port support edge recording?
Edge recording will be available in a future update using the provided SD card slot.
Will the AI Port support more than one camera in the future?
In future Protect updates, the AI Port will support the following number of cameras. Third party cameras cannot be mixed with Protect cameras.
- ONVIF 2K: Up to 2 cameras
- ONVIF HD: Up to 3 cameras
- Protect Cameras: Up to 5 cameras
