The camera has infrared LEDs with an automatic IR cut filter for day and night surveillance. It features a built-in microphone and supports 802.3af PoE for power.

Can the UniFi Protect G5 Bullet be used outdoors?
Yes. It is designed for indoor or outdoor installation and has a weatherproof enclosure. The specifications list an IP55 rating, and it operates in ambient temperatures from -20 to 40°C.
How is the G5 Bullet powered?
It is powered over Ethernet using 802.3af PoE, through its 10/100 MbE RJ45 port. It accepts 37 to 57V DC and draws a maximum of 4W.
What software version do I need to run the G5 Bullet?
It requires UniFi Protect V2.6.17 or above. It is managed with UniFi Protect version 2.7.18 and later (web) or 1.10.0 and later (mobile). That web version needs UniFi OS 3.0 or later, which is not currently available for the UDM-Pro.
How does the G5 Bullet perform at night?
It has integrated infrared LEDs with an automatic IR cut filter for day and night surveillance. Night vision range is up to 10 m (9 m / 30 ft in the specifications).
What mounting options does the G5 Bullet offer?
Wall, ceiling and pole mounting are supported, and the mount is included. The ball joint design gives flexible three-axis adjustment, and a junction box can optionally be used. The pole mount suits poles of 3/4" (19 mm) diameter.
