What software version does the G5 Dome need?
The G5 range requires UniFi Protect V2.6.17 or above. It is managed with UniFi Protect 2.7.18 or later on the web and 1.10.0 or later on mobile. Version 2.7.18 needs UniFi OS 3.0 or later, which is not currently available for the UDM-Pro.
How is the G5 Dome powered and connected?
It is powered over PoE and connects through a 10/100 MbE RJ45 port. It accepts 37-57V DC and draws a maximum of 5W.
Can the G5 Dome be used outdoors and does it have night vision?
It has an IPX4-rated enclosure (while covered) and IK08 vandal resistance, and operates from -20 to 40° C. Built-in IR LEDs and an IR cut filter provide night vision, listed at 9 m in the specifications.
What video quality and field of view does it offer?
It uses a 5MP CMOS sensor and records at up to 30 FPS, with a listed resolution of 4MP (2688 x 1512, 16:9). The fixed lens gives a 102.4° horizontal, 54.9° vertical and 120.6° diagonal field of view.
How can the G5 Dome be mounted?
It can be mounted on a wall or ceiling, and a mount is included. A junction box or arm mount is available as an optional extra. Depending on orientation, the lens can be panned or tilted to set the view.
