FAQs

What is the power requirement of the EAP783?
It needs 802.3bt class PoE or a 12V DC power supply to be fully functional.

Why do the EU and US versions have different power requirements?
Regulations differ between Europe (CE) and America (FCC), so the maximum transmit power (EIRP) differs, and US versions generally consume more power.

What is the Bluetooth module used for?
Currently no features require Bluetooth. The module would be used when new features need its support.

Can my Wi-Fi 6E devices connect to the 6 GHz Wi-Fi of a Wi-Fi 7 access point?
Yes. Wi-Fi 6E devices can connect to the 6 GHz band, with or without MLO enabled, but they cannot use Wi-Fi 7 features such as 4K-QAM, 320 MHz channel width or MLO.

Can I enable both Power Save triggering methods?
Yes. Time-based triggering takes priority, and frequency-based triggering takes over beyond the set time.
